Mary Beth Carlisle

Mary Beth Carlisle, 78, of Topeka, passed away Jan. 8, 2012. She was born Nov. 29, 1933, in Harveyville, KS, the daughter Bernard and Laura Degenkolbe.
She attended school in Eskridge and Topeka. On April 11, 1951, in Bentonville, AR, she married Ted Carlisle. He preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 2006. Mary very much enjoyed BINGO, her dogs, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include children, Judy (James) Jackson, Teddy Ray Carlisle, Terri (Roy) Large, and Danny (Jody) Carlisle; six grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter and one great granddaughter.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at Topeka Cemetery. Mary will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave., Topeka, KS 66605. Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 NW Rochester Rd., Topeka, KS 66617.
