Mary Kathleen Branch, 72, of Topeka, passed away on April 18, 2023.
She was born September 28, 1950, in LaJunta, Colorado, the daughter of Loren and Viola Bernice (Criswell) Carlock. She graduated from Swink High School in Swink, Colorado and attended the American Beauty Academy in Pueblo, Colorado.
Mary was self-employed as the owner of the Shear Image Salon.
Mrs. Branch was a member of the Southwest Church of Christ of Topeka and of the B.S.F. International from 1999 to 2002.
Mary married James Branch on September 29, 1979 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on September 27, 2005. Survivors include her mother, Bernice Carlock of Colorado and her brother Leslie A. Carlock of LaJunta, CO. She was preceded in death by her husband; father, Loren L. Carlock; brothers, James Carlock and Daryl Carlock; and her grandparents, Ralph Carlock, Mildred Carlock, Lotus Criswell and Stella Criswell.
Mary enjoyed birdwatching. She went to many, many church camps everywhere.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 24th at 10:00 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery, 3616 SW Sixth Avenue in Topeka. Mary's family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, April 23rd at the Dove Cremations and Funerals Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road in Topeka. Memorial contributions may be made to the California Acres Church of Christ, 2200 SE 21st Street, Topeka, KS 66607.
