Mary Alice Brumley, 89, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Midland Hospice House.
She was born August 9, 1931, in Madison, Wisconsin, the daughter of Loretta and Mooney McCann.
Mary served as a military wife and a Goodyear wife for 40 years while raising three children and working for Merchants Bank and Champion Homes. Later in life Mary and Jake (deceased) enjoyed multiple trips to the warmer climates of Texas and Florida.
Survivors include her sister Janet of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin; daughters Susan (Dennis) Toyne and Peggy Gifford; son, Kenneth (Veronica) Brumley; grandchildren, Jennifer (Jason) Perry, Kathryn Toyne, Olivia (Joe) Prokop, Nathan (Kristi) Gifford, Madison Brumley, KJ Brumley, Ariana Valle, and Angelo Valle; and five great-grandchildren, Kayla, Riley, Bryson, Chloe, and Elsie; and two blended family great-grandchildren, Ashlyn and Brenna Prokop.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Jake, grandchild Sarah Toyne, her parents Loretta and Mooney McCann and sister Eileen Olson.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the medical personnel of Stormont-Vail, Palliative Care, and Midland Hospice for their kindness and patience in caring for Mary.
A private family graveside service will be held at Carbondale Cemetery.
