Mary Bryant

Mary Bryant, 87, of Berryton, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Brookside Manor in Overbrook. She was born September 18, 1928 in Topeka, the daughter of Everett and Frances (Deghand) Hyatt.
Mary was one of the first Tupperware Dealers in Topeka. She worked for Pellitiers in the Men's Clothing Division. She also was employed as a Teacher's Aide for U.S.D. 501 for many years.
She and her husband were members of the Bulldozer's Camping Club. Mary had a tremendous love for animals and was constantly nursing stray dogs and cats that she brought home.
Mary married Ernest W. Bryant on June 16, 1946 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on September 16, 2006. She was also preceded in death by one son, Fred Bryant.
Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Bryant Parker and her husband David "Bull" Parker of Berryton, two grandchildren, James and Marade and their families of California, daughter-in-law, Debbie Bryant of California, step-grandchildren, Jennifer and Andy and their families, six step-great-grandchildren, many wonderful nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Grace Community Church, 310 E. 8th St., Overbrook, KS 66524. A luncheon graciously provided by the church will follow the service for those whom wish to attend.
Private inurnment will take place at a later date. Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st St., Topeka, KS 66604.
