Mary H. Donlan, 91, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022. She was born September 12, 1930 in Staten Island, New York, the daughter of Frank J. and Gerda (Roess) Peters.
Mary graduated from Port Richmond High School and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business from St. Peter's College in Jersey City, New Jersey. She was employed by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey for 36 years before retiring. She was of the Catholic Faith.
Mary married Peter J. Donlan on March 22, 1950. He preceded her in death. Survivors include children, Susan Howard of Topeka, Gerald (Susan) Donlan of Rockaway, New Jersey, seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeri, Jesse, Noel, Molly, Michele and Travis and eleven great-grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her son, Michael Scott Donlan, great-granddaughter, Adriana Howard, her son-in-law, Jesse Howard and her siblings, Frances Baker, David Peters, Gretchen Werner, Janet Richards and Robert Peters.
A private Celebration of Mary's Life will be held at a later date. Private inurnment will take place in New York at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with service arrangements.
