Mary E. Taylor, 79, Topeka, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008 at Lexington Park.
She was born Aug. 16, 1928 in Topeka, the daughter of Lon and Lillian Bay Willis. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1946 and had lived in Topeka all her life.
Mrs. Taylor worked for Capitol Federal Savings for 25 years before retiring in 1999.
Survivors include two sons, Rick Taylor and wife, Lauri of Mission Viejo, CA and Rocky Taylor and wife, Debbie of Topeka; four grandchildren, Clark Taylor, Katy Taylor, Trevor Taylor, and Nikki Baker.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel with interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Taylor will lie in state after noon Friday at the funeral home. The casket will remain closed. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1315 SW Arrowhead Road, 66604.
