Mary Ellen Gingher-Kistler, 84, Topeka,passed away Thursday, April 7, 2005 at a Topeka care facility. She was born September 21, 1920 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of Wayne Gingher, and Georgia E. McCoy-Gingher. She moved to Topeka in 1945. Mrs. Kistler had worked for Jostens Printing and Publishing as a year book consultant. Prior to Jostens, she worked for the law firm of Comery & Smith in Topeka. She attended the Free Methodist Church in Topeka, and was a former member of the New Beginning Chorus.
She is survived by a daughter, Jennie Kistler-Nixon of Trophy Club, Texas; a son, Sam Kistler of Topeka; six grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. We'll miss her.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Rochester Cemetery. Burial will follow. Mrs. Kistler will lie in state after 3 p.m. Sunday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
