Mary L. Collar
Mary L. Collar, 66, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2011 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was born April 4, 1945 in Huntsville, AL, the daughter of James M. and Alice E. Barnett Owen.
She graduated from Topeka High School in 1963. She married James Collar. He preceded her in death. Survivors include her son, James Brock Collar and her sister, Nancy Lloyd, both of Topeka and her niece, Debra Bennett of Jacksonville, FL.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in Foster Cemetery. Mary will lie in state from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Midland Care Hospice Services, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606.
