Mary Larue O'Rourke

Mary LaRue O'Rourke, 95, formerly of Topeka, passed away February 16, 2012 in Sumter, South Carolina.
She was born March 27, 1916, in Glenwood, Missouri, the daughter of Blaine and Ruth Franklin LaRue. She went to grade school in Centerville, Iowa, and graduated from high school in Humboldt, Kansas. She also lived in Chanute and moved to Topeka in 1954.
She worked at Crosby's Department Store and then Menninger Children's Hospital, where she retired in 1983.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Michael O'Rourke and Patrick O'Rourke, and two great-grandchildren. She is survived by three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sunflower Concert Festival, 1700 SW College, Topeka, Kansas 66621.
