Mary June O'Hare

September 2, 1945 — November 28, 2020

Mary June Kelley O'Hare, 75, passed away in Topeka, KS on November 28, 2020 after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Ada, OK on September 2, 1945 to William Irving Kelley and Grace Inez (Buster) Kelley. Mary and Garvin O'Hare were married in Duncan on May 14, 1975 and divorced on March 20, 1990.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 14th at 2:00 PM. Cremation services have been entrusted to Dove Cremations and Funerals - Southwest Chapel in Topeka, KS, which will be hosting the service.

Mary lived in Ada and Snyder, OK before moving to Duncan, OK in 1952. She graduated from Duncan High School in 1963. Working her way through school she earned a Business degree from Bethany Nazarene College in May 1973. While in college she worked in the laundry at The Children's Convalescent Center in Bethany, OK. As she completed her education she was promoted to receptionist and later became their bookkeeper. She experienced home health care as a provider and recipient. She retired in 2016 after a long career with the Kansas Department of Revenue. Hobbies included reading, crochet, sewing, arts and crafts, painting, listening to great music and cheering for the Kansas Jayhawks, Kansas City Chiefs, and Oklahoma University football teams. Her favorite activity was playing with granddaughter Kaylynn and watching her grow up. In her youth she attended First Nazarene Church in Duncan and later attended Lakeview Park Nazarene Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Those preceding Mary June in death are her parents: William Irving Kelley, Grace (Buster) Kelley, and four of her siblings: Frank Kelley, Ona Jo Kelley, Terry Kelley, Wayne Kelley.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Janice Leann (O'Hare) Mulqueen, her husband Jay Mulqueen, granddaughter Kaylynn Nikole O'Hare, grandson Jack (expected to arrive in February 2021) of Topeka KS and son, Bill Merritt O'Hare of Ordway, CO. Her surviving siblings are Shirley Owens of Garnett KS, Bob Kelley of Velma, OK, Jerry Kelley and wife Elia of Moore, OK, Jim Kelley and wife Louise of Collinsville, OK, Tom Kelley and wife Teresa of, Talihina, OK, Annita Estes and husband Joe of Duncan, OK, Sue Morris of Ninnekah, OK, Pam Degan and husband Joe of Haslet, TX. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Special thanks go out to Stormont Vail Hospital, Phoenix Home Health and Hospice Services, and Aldersgate Village Recovery Center for the excellent care they have given Mary during her time of need.
