Mary V. Reddick, 79, of Topeka, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, December 24, 2012.
She was born November 18, 1933 in Lincoln, MO, the daughter of Otto and Stella Miller Burns. She was a member of Churchhill Methodist Church in Lincoln. She was employed by the Ramada Inn as a housekeeper before retiring. She was an avid Bingo player.
Mary married Arthur Samuel Reddick. He preceded her in death on April 3, 2008. She was also preceded in death by one son, Harold Reddick and one great-grandson. Survivors include their children, Debra Reddick Ginger Reddick and Michael (Kayla) Simpson, all of Topeka, John (Junedda) Reddick of Escondido, CA, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and her sister, Dorothy Robinson of Topeka.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Mary will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel.
