Mary Ann Thompson, 54, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 after a long battle with Lupus.
She was born April 11, 1966, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Daniel Thomas and Mary Frances (Manning) Masters, Sr. She was 1984 graduate of Seaman High School and attended Topeka Vo Tech.
Mary was a homemaker for many years.
Mary married Donald Thompson, Jr. on May 2, 1992 in Reading, Kansas. He survives in Topeka. Other survivors include two children, Lesley (Ben) Harbaugh of Americus, KS and Caitlin (Brian Jones) Thompson of Topeka; five grandchildren, Harlan, Wyatt, Elizabeth, Andrea and Zeb; her step-father, Leslie Hood of Topeka; her brothers, Daniel (Nancy) Masters, Jr. of Topeka and John (Teresa) Masters of Burlingame, KS and Arthur (Dixie) Hood of Scranton, KS; her sisters, Nancy (William) McGoyne of Topeka, Deborah (Larry) Cannon of Fountain, CO, Virginia (Walter) Degan of Topeka; several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Patricia Blanchett.
Mary loved her family, especially her grandchildren and their events. She was an avid reader and fan of Reality TV and Classic Rock music.
Honoring her request, cremation is planned. A memorial ceremony will be held at a later date. Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel in Topeka is assisting the family.
