Maureen Ruth Price (Goede) of Topeka, KS, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021. She was born on August 4, 1933, in rural Pender, NE to William Henry Goede and Frieda Johanna Most. She graduated high school in Columbus, NE at the age of 16 and went on to receive her associate's degree in office management in Chillicothe, MO. She married Henry Gene "Bill" Price in 1953.
Maureen was a very hard working career woman which led her to an array of jobs. She started out at First National Bank and then moved on to National Reserve Life Insurance. After these jobs she began her paralegal career working with several law firms. She ended her working career at the Kansas Board of Education as the administrative assistant to the commissioner. Along with these jobs she was an active volunteer with Doorstep, CASA and Stormont Vail Hospital. She was very passionate about music and horses.
She is survived by her sons Denis (Sarah) and Kent; grandchildren Matt, Ashley, Meghan, Andrea (Taylor), Lydia and Will; great-grandchildren Ashdan and Mason, and her brothers Bill and Tim. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill and her sister Lynn.
