Mavis L. "Rusty" Stewart, 69, Topeka, passed away Friday, October 16, 2020.
Mavis was born February 18, 1951 in Los Angeles, CA, the daughter of Jack and Mary (Coffey) Stewart. She graduated from Reseda High School in San Fernando Valley, CA and received an A.A. degree in Nursing from Los Madanas Community College in Antioch, CA.
She was previously employed as an L.P.N. at Topeka Presbyterian Manor and later provided respite care for babies and enjoyed being their caregiver.
She was a cat lover and enjoyed the mountains and the outdoors.
Survivors include her children, Teri Ruthe, Las Vegas, NV, Stacey Kliner, Eagle Mountain, Utah, Kelly (Tiny Hutsen) Stewart, Topeka; 5 grandchildren; and 2 great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Steven Roche.
Cremation has taken place and private services will be held at a later date.
