Maxine Wilma Best, 88, of Topeka, passed away February 6, 2017.
She was born October 23, 1928, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Roy and Clara (Richa) McGinnis.
Maxine attended Highland Park High School in Topeka and enjoyed golfing and bicycling.
Maxine married George B. Welch on May 31, 2004, in Lecompton, Kansas. He survives. Other survivors include daughter, Diana Sage; sister, Ida Meagher; and granddaughter, Cari Braasch.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Marilyn Goodman and Betty Dew; and brother, Charlie McGinnis.
Maxine was cremated and private inurnment will be in Silver Lake Cemetery. Dove Cremation & Funeral Service is assisting the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the organization of the donor's choice.
