Michael C. Vigola was born on December 15, 1954 and died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on August 3, 2014.
Mike was an architect who, as a child enjoyed the beauty of putting things together to make something lasting and memorable. He graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Architecture and worked for several firms, and many years with his own company. He was proud of the many commercial buildings he designed around Topeka. He loved learning, watching the History Channel, fixing things with duct tape, traveling to Colorado, the 4th of July, but most of all, Mike was happiest being with his kids, helping them with their homework, watching movies and talking.
His greatest joy was his four kids. He is survived by Michael Dean Vigola, Reagan Irene Vigola, Jordan Rene Vigola and Miranda Blake Porter. His children are his legacy of intelligence, a big heart, a gift for caring and wanting a better world.
He is also survived by his sister, Ann Vigola Anderson (Vann), cousins, and many friends.
A private family Celebration of Life will be held for Mike on August 31st.
Donations are requested in lieu of flowers to The Vigola Kids College Fund, Community Bank, 5431 SW 29th Street, Topeka, KS 66614.
