Michael Leslie Durham, 69, of Lawrence, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022.
He was born October 19, 1952, in Barstow, California, the son of Clarence and Betty (Fyfe) Durham.
Michael graduated from Highland Park High School and furthered his education receiving a Bachelor Degree from the University of Kansas in 1970.
He served in the United States Navy from 1970 to 1974 during the Vietnam War.
Michael worked as a Physical Therapist Assistant for the Shawnee Gardens Healthcare and Rehab Center prior to his retirement.
Survivors include his nephews, John Taylor and Mark Taylor; his great-nephew, Xavier Taylor; his great-niece, Zarriah Taylor and his beloved cats, Buffy and Cotton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Leora Taylor and his brother, Dennis Durham.
Michael was an avid reader and enjoyed watching his favorite television shows.
Honoring Michael's request cremation is planned. No services have been scheduled at this time.
