Michael Goodhue, 66, of Riverside, California passed away on September 22, 2017 at his home in Topeka, Kansas. He was born on May 18, 1951, in Riverside, California.
He worked at Caltrans in San Bernardino for 37 years before retiring. He began his career as a maintenance worker and ended his career as the Noise Specialist for district 8.
Michael married Debi in 1985 and married her again in 1999.
He enjoyed watching TV, going on drives and playing with his grandchildren; from camping in the woods to playing with Playdoh at the dinner table, he just loved being Grandpa. Michael loved collecting rocks off all kinds, wizards and anything goofy. He grew huge tomato plants and enjoyed being outdoors, especially in the mountains.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Ken and Pat Goodhue and his grandmother, Winnie Haight.
He is survived by his wife, twin children, Zackary (Dusty) Goodhue and Jade (Glenn) Beasley, son Dustin Elkins, daughter, Chelsea (Jay) Elkins, ten grandchildren; Gavin, Taylor, Morgan, Jaden, Jaysea, Jay D., Zackary, Layla, Nick and Corbyn, and Jacinda (Will) Ashby, Jared, and Tehya and also Amanda, his brother, Greg Goodhue and many other loved friends and family.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date in California.
He is loved and will be missed terribly.
