Michael Marconett

Michael Henry Marconett, 63, of Overbrook, KS, passed away February 12, 2012. He was born December 14, 1948 in Ottawa, the son of Clifford A. and Betty E. (Huggins) Marconett.

Mike was raised in Overbrook and graduated from Overbrook High School in 1966. He married Diann Bennett on June 27, 1992 at the Grace Community Church in Overbrook. Mike worked in the tire industry, and was employed by Firestone as well having his own business. He and Diann are members of the Grace Community Church in Overbrook. Mike loved spending time with his family, and he also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Mike is survived by his wife, step-daughter, Lisa Markle (Jason); grandson, Jacob Markle; sisters, Dixie Price and Doralie Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-daughter Patty Schwinn.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 16th at Grace Community Church, 310 E. 8th St., Overbrook, KS 66524. Inurnment will be at Overbrook Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the church.
