Michael Robert Sipes, 54, of Carbondale, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2013. He was born June 8, 1959 at Topeka, the son of Robert and Hope (Niles) Sipes.
Michael loved playing sports of all kind. He played football in high school and later played rugby for the Topeka Rugby Football Club. Michael was an Oklahoma University fan since he was a young boy, and he loved fishing, hunting and the outdoors.
Michael married Tracy Sipes. They later divorced. He worked for his father's company, Sipes Roofing for many years.
Michael is survived by his father, Robert; brother, Gary Sipes; aunt, Barbara Sipes; nephew, Andrew Sipes; niece, Suzie Sipes; great-nieces, Audrey and Aubrey Sipes.
Per his wishes, Michael will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
