Michael S. Weddle, 50, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at his home.
Michael was born June 11, 1962 in Los Angeles, CA, the son of William C. and Joan E. (Smith) Weddle. He moved to Topeka with his family in 1978 and attended Topeka West High School. He served in the 190th Air Refueling Group, Air National Guard as a Maintenance Mechanic and had been employed as an Environmental Technician at the University of Kansas. Michael was divorced.
He is survived by his children, Kelly Weddle, Mary (Weddle) Moler, Sean Weddle and Rory Weddle, his mother, Joan Lopez, his sisters, Lyndon Weddle, Cynthia Stuart, his brothers, Dean and Christian Lopez, Bret Weddle and two grandchildren. Michael is preceded in death by his father, William Weddle and his brother, Bryan Weddle.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow in Holton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, 30 North LaSalle, Ste. 2600, Chicago, IL, 60602.
