Michelle K. West, 69, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024 at a Topeka hospital. She was born April 22, 1954 in San Diego, California, the daughter of Roger L. and Evelyn Gayle (Cope) Jackson.
Michelle graduated from Point Loma High School in San Diego and earned an Associate Degree in Paralegal at Cuyamaca College in south San Diego, California. She was employed by the San Diego Zoo and later became a homemaker. She had resided in Topeka since October 2021.
Michelle married Michael L. West on May 4, 1996 in San Diego, California. He survives. Other survivors include children, Kenny (Melissa) Clark, Jason (Ilana) Clark, Andrea Clark, Isabeau (Sean) West, Caleb West and Cameron West, eight grandchildren and her siblings, Mark (Patricia) Jackson, Roger (Doreen) Jackson II, Julia (Brian) Douglas, many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
A private Celebration of Michelle's Life will be held at a later date. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to TARC, 2701 SW Randolph Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66611.
Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with service arrangements.
