Mickie D. Long, Jr.
Mickie Dugan Long, Jr., 62, Topeka, died Friday, July 14, 2006 at his home.
He was born May 20, 1944 in Topeka, the son of Mickie D. and Pearl Stanley Long and had lived most of his life here.
Mr. Long was a truck driver all of his adult life.
He was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Bruce Long in 1994.
Survivors include his son, Mickie D. Long III, Topeka; a brother, Carl Long, Osawatomie; eight step-children, Mickey Norton, Kenneth Norton, James Norton, Larry Brignac, Crystal Chavez, Randy Carnegie, Michelle Valdiva, Stephanie Edwards, and sixteen grandchildren.
Services will be 10:00 am Friday at Newcomer Family Funeral Home. Interment will be in West Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Long will lie in state from noon to 4:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
