While in Topeka, she operated an antique refinishing and framing business out of their home. Louise loved to dance. She was a poet with a keen wit and sharp sense of humor. She was married to Hugh for 43 years before he preceded her in death in Jan, 2003. She was a member of the Highland Park United Methodist Church.

"Jerry" Johnston, Cashiers, N.C. 4 Grandchildren; Several Great-grandchildren; 2 Sisters: Shirley Merillat of Topeka, KS, and Dorothy Harvey of Roseville, ILL; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
9. Service time, day, place: Memorial services will be held on Friday, Feb. 27, 2004 at 10:30am at the Hearthstone Chapel.
10. Burial: Inurnment will be at Penwell Gabel Memorial Park Cemetery.
