Mildred B. Kent, 97, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Brewster Place in Topeka. She was born February 3, 1924 in Topeka, the daughter of Fred and Edna (Blackney) Taylor.
Mildred was employed by Fleming Companies for many years before retiring at the age of 82.
Mildred married Theron V. Kent on June 14, 1941 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on May 28, 2007. She was also preceded in death by one son, Timothy Lee Kent.
Survivors include children, Linda (Gary) Kroeger, Sheila Remy, Theron Thomas (Michelle) Kent, Mark (Patricia) Kent, Susan Carl and David Kent, ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Inurnment services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 8, 2021 at Mount Hope Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association, 3625 SW 29th St. Suite 102, Topeka, Kansas 66614.
Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with arrangements.
