Mildred L. Motley, 89, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2017, at her residence.
She was born January 28, 1927 in Horton, Kansas the daughter of William and Myrna (Kuehne) Slusser- McPherson.
Mildred graduated from Topeka High School in 1945. She was a practical nurse for several years as well as a homemaker. She was a member of Topeka Baptist Church.
Mildred married Dellyn H. Motley on May 5, 1957 in Powell, Wyoming. He survives. Other survivors include their children, Tami Motley, Milton Motley, Yvonne Howland and Judy Grubbs (Richard), 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 24 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Mildred will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
