Millie L. Wangerin, 93, Topeka, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008 at her home.
She was born Jan. 23, 1915 in Topeka, the daughter of Lewis B. and Mary Jane Black Streeter, and lived all her life in Topeka.
Millie worked as a silk finisher for A&R Cleaners and later for Hygienic Cleaners.
She married Paul Lewis Emil Wangerin on Sept. 15, 1934 in Lawrence. He died Nov. 21, 2000. Survivors include two sons, Paul Eugene Wangerin of Phoenix, AZ, Richard Lee Wangerin of Topeka and two daughters, Virginia L. Mulford and Wilma C. Mulford, both of Topeka; a sister, Norma Berry of Topeka; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson
Services will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 22, 2008 at Newcomer Family Funeral Home with interment in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Mrs. Wangerin will lie in state from 1-4 p.m., Thursday the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, 66606.
