MingFai Wong

MingFai Wong, a beloved husband, father, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2024, in Topeka, Kansas, surrounded by family. Born on October 31, 1934, in Hong Kong, MingFai lived a life marked by dedication, hard work, and deep love for his family.

For over 20 years, MingFai was the Director of the Electrical Engineering Team at Hotel Lisbon in Macau.

MingFai had a passion for travel, often capturing the beauty of the world through his lens as a photographer. He enjoyed savoring various cuisines, with Cantonese food holding a special place in his heart. His love for seafood was well-known among his family and friends, making shared meals a cherished and memorable experience. Additionally, he found joy in watching sports, particularly soccer.

MingFai's personality was defined by unwavering faithfulness to his wife and family. He was known for conserving his feelings, yet it was evident in his responsible care and nurturing nature towards his loved ones. He took great pride in his family, regarding them as his proudest accomplishment.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Julia Wong, with whom he shared 47 years of marriage; his sons, Alex Wong, Daughter-in law Arina Liao and Alan Wong; and his sister, Hayley Wong. MingFai was preceded in death by his father, ZhiGuang Wong, and his brother, Warren Wong.

MingFai’s legacy will live on in the memories shared by his family and the many lives he touched during his lifetime. He will be remembered for his steadfast dedication, love for his family, and the positive impact he made on those fortunate enough to know him.
