Monica R. (Davenport) Rose, 70, of Tecumseh, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, June 14, 2019. She was born May 23, 1949 in Topeka, the daughter of Warren W. and Nola W. (Nutter) Davenport.
Monica graduated from Highland Park High School and earned a Master's Degree in Education from Washburn University.
Monica married Randall Rose on December 9, 1994. He preceded her in death on February 11, 2016.
Survivors include three daughters, Alison Davenport of Tecumseh, Leslie (Gregory) Rask of Maple Grove, Minnesota and Meredith (Christopher) Lewis of Olathe, Kansas, seven grandchildren, Audrey, Piper, Quinn, Campbell, Sally, Shane and Kerrigan, her siblings, Stan, Brad, Lori and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Monica's Life will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at her residence from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Topeka Rescue Mission, PO Box 8350, Topeka, Kansas 66608.
Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family.
