Montana Stroud

Montana E. Stroud, 18, Topeka, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, at a Kansas City, Kan., hospital. he was born Sept. 7, 1983, in Topeka, the son of Dennis A. and Connie M. Sanchez Stroud. He attended St. Matthew's Catholic School and was a senior at Shawnee Heights High School with the class of 2002. He had been employed during the summers with the Kansas Department of Administration.

Mr. Stroud was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church and was active in the Topeka Youth Bowling Association.

Survivors include his parents, Dennis and Connie Stroud, Topeka;
a sister, Jancy M. Stroud, Kansas City, Kansas
and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Juventino Sanchez, Topeka.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Matthew's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Stroud will lie in state after noon Sunday at Penwell-Gabel Highland Chapel, where a parish rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. and visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m.
