Myrna Loy Galindo, 79, of Topeka passed away February 17, 2018. Born May 29, 1938, she was the daughter of Jack and Gladys (Livingood) George. She was raised in Pittsburg, Kansas and attended Pittsburg schools.
On October 16, 1952 in Miami, Oklahoma, she married Mitchell Galindo Sr. She was a homemaker who loved spending time with family and cooking.
Myrna is survived by her high school sweetheart and life partner, Allen Dean Walter, who provided for her care. She is also survived by five sons; Michael J. Galindo, David A. Galindo, Matthew A. (Elizabeth) Galindo, his twin brother Mark A. (Melissa) Galindo, and Peter S. (Jessica) Galindo; stepsons; Mitchell Galindo Jr., Violet Galindo, Forrest (Tammy) Walter, Daniel (Mary) Walter, Jeff Walter and Ronnie Galindo; six siblings: Linda Watson, Virginia Petty, Donna Hines, Kathy Greenwood, Patty Swank, and Delmar George; 30 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mitchell Galindo, son, Daniel J. Galindo, granddaughter, Brittney P. Galindo, two sisters, Madeline Sharp and Ilene Bolan and a brother, Larry George.
