Myrtle Anne Carlile

Myrtle Anne Carlile, 86, Anne (as she was known), was born on September 5, 1927 to Wesley and Pearlie Bailey in Topeka, Kansas. She died on August 21, 2014. Anne attended Gage and Roosevelt schools.

Anne married Ferrell F. Carlile on January 13, 1947. He preceded her in death in 1983. She was also preceded by her sister, Dorothy J. Smith.

Anne retired from Meade Insurance Company and the State of Kansas; and she also worked for many years as a door greeter for Wal-Mart. Anne enjoyed baking and cooking from scratch, and collecting anything to do with clowns. She also loved her frogs, snakes, various reptiles, and was a lover of all animals.

Anne is survived by her daughter; Sharon Skelton (Gary); her grandchildren, Angie Childs (Dean) and their son, Kegan, Rick Skelton (Jackie) and their children, Raylee and Garrett,; Matt Skelton and his children, Cadence and Kayla, Cheyenne, Anthony and Ivy; and her special friends, Eric Fox and Dawna King.

The celebration of life will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, September 5th at Oakland Christian Church, 1001 NE Michigan in Topeka.
