Nancy Elaine (Foster) O'Neal, 57, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, October 26, 2012 at Midland Hospice. She was born on March 4, 1955 in Pittsburg, Kansas to Billy Richard and Lena May (Bevins) Foster.
Nancy and her siblings were raised by their mother in Pittsburg, Kansas. She graduated from Medicine Lodge High School in 1973. On July 14, 1973, she married John Eugene O'Neal in Medicine Lodge. Nancy had a love for music, she was a pianist as well as vocalist. In July 2003 she became a member of the Sweet Adeline's Acappella Unlimited Chorus, formerly known as the Sunflower Harmony Chorus. Nancy lived in Pittsburg, Kansas, Medicine Lodge, Kansas and Graham, Texas before moving to Topeka, Kansas in 1988. She will always be remembered for her kind and loving spirit as well as the love she shared with her family.
Nancy is lovingly survived by her daughters, Melissa (Ben) Harbour, Pelham, AL, Angela (Phillip) Galvan, Topeka, KS and Alisha (Jason) Gisi, Silver Lake, KS; six grandchildren, Mark, Alex and Bella Galvan, Ronin Harbour, Madisen and Elijah Gisi; sisters, Carolyn (Everett) Hosier of Topeka, KS and Judith (Steven) West of Pittsburg, KS; brother, Gary (Darla) Foster of Wellington, KS; maternal aunt, Alice Arbuckle and her second cousin, Verna Short, both of Pittsburg, KS. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Trina Dawn O'Neal, her husband, one brother, Rick Foster, her parents and grandparents, Richard & Mildred Bevins and Richard & Anna Foster.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 4:00 pm on Monday, October 29 at the Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Open casket graveside services will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Pittsburg, KS on Tuesday, October 30 at 1:00 pm.
