Nancy Jean(Haffner) Pratt

Nancy Jean (Haffner) Pratt, 87, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017.
She was born November 10, 1929, in Evanston, Illinois, the daughter of Raymond and Lorena (Ray) Haffner. She was a 1947 graduate of Shawnee Mission High School and 1951 graduate of the University of Kansas.
Nancy was a very strong independent woman. She enjoyed playing bridge, gardening, and traveling the world. She also enjoyed staying active and watching KU games.
Nancy was a member of AAUW, Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority, Countryside United Methodist Church, and the Topeka YWCA.
Nancy married the love of her life, James Richard Pratt, on December 30, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri. He survives.
Other survivors include children, Gary (Jan) Pratt, Brian R. (Beverly) Pratt, and Marianne Howell; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Lorena Haffner.
Nancy was cremated and at her request there will be no formal services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 3625 SW 29th Street, Suite 102, Topeka, Kansas 66614.
