Nancy Jo Willett, 64, Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at a local hospital.
Nancy was born August 10, 1944 in Topeka, the daughter of Donald and Fern (Meadkins) McArthur.
She graduated from Highland Park High School in 1962. She worked for the State of Kansas, Department of Human Resources for 33 years, retiring in 1993.
She was a member of Fellowship Bible Church where she participated in many women's bible studies, and a Cancer Survivors group. She enjoyed shopping, crossword puzzles/word search and babysitting her granddaughter.
Nancy married Kenneth L. Willett on June 6, 1964. He survives. Other survivors include son, Kevin Willett; and granddaughter, Trinity Ann Willett, all of Topeka. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Connie and Mary Ann McArthur.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Fellowship Bible Church, 6800 SW 10th. Private family inurnment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Dove Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - Hope Lodge, 1120 Pennsylvania, Kansas City, MO. 64105.
