Nancy Laverne Reives, 52, Topeka, died Saturday, June 3, 2006 at her home.
She was born Feb. 16, 1954 in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of David and Mary Briggs Reives.
She was raised in California, and came to Topeka in 1992.
Nancy worked in restaurant and retail management for many years. She was finishing her degree in criminal justice at Washburn University while she was employed at The Villages, Topeka Correctional Facility, and most recently, at KNI. She volunteered at TPAC as the backstage manager, and for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Survivors include her son, Justin Broadfoot, Jacksonville, FL; her mother, Mary Reives; two sisters, Carol Daughenbaugh and her husband, Harry and Audrey Reives; two nephews, Michael Reives and Marshall Daughenbaugh, all of Topeka; one niece, Laura Sisk, Nipomo, CA.
Cremation is planned. The family will receive friends and co-workers between 4 and 6 pm Saturday at 815 SW Lindenwood. Memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 5350 SW 17th, 66604.
