Naomi Herrington

Naomi (Ashbaugh) Herrington, age 95, of Topeka, formerly of Osage City, Kansas and Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away March 11, 2013 at Rolling Hills Health Center. She was born in Lawrence, Kansas on July 27, 1917 to William and Hazel (Weidman) Lee. She was the last survivor of six siblings.

To the marriage of Naomi and Leslie Ashbaugh was born a daughter, Shirley Ruth and three sons, Lesley Lee (Janice), Charles (Judy), and Robert. After Leslie's death, Naomi married Chuck Herrington and gained two step-sons, Leroy and Mark Herrington. They adopted a son, Darryl Etter. Naomi was also preceded in death by her second husband, her daughter, Shirley Ruth, and her step-son, Mark Herrington. In addition to her surviving children, Naomi leaves nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren whom she dearly treasured and loved.

A graveside service and inurnment will be held at 1:30PM Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the American Cemetery, Osage City, Kansas (Just north of Osage City on US Hwy 56).
