Nettie Proctor

Nettie M. Proctor, 87, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, August 11, 2015. She passed away at her daughter's home in Colorado.

She was born in Topeka on November 20, 1927, the daughter of Irene and Laverne Meggison. She lived most of her life in Topeka and worked at Tenpenny Cafe, Tevis' Restaurant, and The Pad, retiring in 2015.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Proctor, who died in 1994. Survivors include: daughter, Linda Warriner, Kansas City; daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Jerry Cole, Colorado; and daughter, Barbara Hemelstrand, Colorado. She has 5 grandchildren: Kim Workman, Dusty Workman, Sara Cole, Michael Cole, and Matthew Hemelstrand. In addition she has 5 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She is also survived by her precious sister, Beverly Broughton of Topeka and 1 brother, George Meggison of Mayetta, KS.

Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 16th at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road. Family graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 17th at Westlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
