Nicholas James Blubaugh, 14, of Auburn, KS, passed on to a higher life on August 4, 2010. He was born on August 27, 1995, in Phillipsburg, KS, the son of Anthony James Blubaugh and long-time girlfriend Jennifer Halderman and Patricia Ann Barfield and husband Michael.
Nick attended Washburn Rural High School and was a member of the WARU Marching Band. Nick was a self-proclaimed "expert gamer", along with his enjoyment of music, the marching band, and football. Nick being an excellent kid, will be sorely missed by a multitude of family and friends.
He is survived by his parents; sisters, Felishity Blubaugh and Saralyn Barfield and sibling he was expecting in December; grandparents, Thomas and Mary Blubaugh and Robert Hoffman; uncles Joe Blubaugh and R.J. Hoffman and families; aunt, Beverly Boland and family; and numerous distant aunts, uncles, and cousins. With Nick's huge personality, he is also survived by numerous friends, classmates, and band members. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Barbara Hoffman.
