Norma N. Woolsey, 87, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Brewster Place Retirement Center in Topeka. She was born on February 5, 1922 in Robinson, KS, the daughter of Oliver L. and M. Florence Weibling Ulsh. Norma graduated from Hiawatha High School in 1939 and attended Centeral Business College in Kansas City. Norma owned and operated a consignment clothing store in North Topeka for several years where she utilized her love of sewing before her retirement. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church for over thirty-nine years. She was also a member of Artists Associated and the Sunshine Square EAU for many years. Norma married Aubrey Linford "Linn" Woolsey on July 28, 1951 in Hiawatha. He preceded her in death on January 26, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, A.D. Ulsh. Survivors include two daughters, Norma Zoe Scrivner of Arlington, TX, Dee Ann Younger of Little Rock, AK, two sons, Rick L. Woolsey of Olathe, KS and Dean A. Woolsey of Topeka, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Fink Living Room in the Brewster Health Center, 1001 SW 29th St. Private inurnment will take place in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Second Presbyterian Church, 210 NW Menninger Rd., Topeka, KS 66617 or to the Topeka Rescue Mission, Inc., 600 N. Kansas Ave., Topeka, KS 66608. Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
