Norma L. Tenbrink

Norma L. Tenbrink, 86, of Wakarusa, passed away on November 12, 2021 at Autumn Home Plus.

She was born on July 23, 1935 to Quinton and Velma (Tudor) Cloud in Topeka, Kansas.

Norma graduated from Enterprise Academy in 1953.

On April 13, 1955, she married Robert "Bob" Spaeth in Topeka. They later divorced.

On July 14, 1972 she married Alex "Bill" Tenbrink in Miami, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on August 13, 2013.

Norma worked as a Timekeeper for BNSF Railroad. She worked for 38 years before retiring. After retiring Norma took care of numerous rental properties. She took great pride in renovating each house and put in lots of time and work into each. Norma was a member of the Landlord Association in Topeka. In her spare time she enjoyed working with Bill on the ranch, together they took care of many cattle. Norma also enjoyed camping with her family. They had an annual family camp out at Clinton Lake where she enjoyed skiing and spending time with her family. Bill and her also did a lot of traveling with Bill's brother Fred and his wife Lola.

Norma loved to be a grandma. She enjoyed spending time with all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren at the swimming pool and just being around them.

Norma is survived by her children, Steve (Chaunzey) Tenbrink, Jay (Chris) Tenbrink, Melody Mills, DeeAnn (Clay) Bergstrom, Angela (Kevin) Hayden, Deborah O'Brian, and John Tenbrink; brother, Steve Cloud; 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, John Cloud, Carol Isaacs, Joe Cloud, and Peggy Hipsher, both of her parents; 2 grandchildren; and her previous husband Robert "Bob" Spaeth.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 18, 2021, 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Dove Cremations & Funerals Southeast Chapel, Topeka, Kansas.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021, 11:00 am at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Berryton, Kansas.
