Norman Spillman

Norman Glenn Spillman, 79, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at Topeka. He was born on March 5, 1927, in Selden, the son of Glenn R. and Myrtle Fern Aumiller Spillman. Norman attended schools in Hoxie and Hutchinson.

Norman married Judy Donnelly who preceded him in death.

Mr. Spillman served in the Army during WWII, the Air Force at the Viet Nam conflict, and then retired as a Master Tech Sergeant with the Air National Guard after 32 years of military service.

He loved to build and fly airplanes, and was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association, flying the several aircraft he built across the country.

Surviving is his son, Kevin Glenn Spillman of Albany OR, daughters: Aneta Lee Bonham of CA, and Star Lyn Roberson of Hardtner; step daughters: Cynthia Bailey, Germany, and Michelle Majeroni, Topeka, and a step son, Tim Donnelly of Arizona.
Other survivors include his brothers: Ronald Spillman, and Stanton B. Spillman, both of Hutchinson. Sisters: Ardith Marcum, and Carolyn Miller also of Hutchinson. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 3 great- grand children, and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife Judy, parents, a sister, Cora Rude, and a brother Franklin Udell Spillman.

Mr. Spillman was cremated with Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel in charge of arrangements. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
