Odell Wallace, 79, of Topeka, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, January 5, 2025. She was born June 14, 1945 in Ponca City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Harm and Bernice (Taylor) Franklin, Sr.
Odell graduated from Ponca City High School in 1963. She was employed as a Correctional Specialist with the Shawnee County Department of Corrections for 26 years before retiring.
Survivors include two children, Adrian (Katie) Wallace of Topeka, Christopher (Suzanne) Wallace of Topeka, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and her siblings, twin sister, Ozell Calvert of Topeka, Dorothy Alexander of Gilbert, Arizona, Shirley Langham of Georgia, and Pearly Roland of Ponca City, Oklahoma.
Odell was preceded in death by her son, Victor Cook on October 13, 2019 and her brother, Harm, Jr.
Odell had a mantra, "I lived the life I loved and loved the life I lived".
A private Celebration of Odell's Life will be held at a later date. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
