Ofelia Vega, 87, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021. She was born October 14, 1933 in Leesville, Texas, the daughter of Jesus and Josefina (Valerio) Jimenez.
Ofelia was a member of Jerusalen Asambleas De Dios Church.
Ofelia married Elio Vega on January 9, 1949 in Mexico. He preceded her in death on January 26, 2015. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Laura Escobar on April 2, 2012 and her sister, Lucrecia Vega in March 2015.
Survivors include children, Saturnino, Jeremias, Eliseo, Daniel, Rogelio, Irma, Alfredo, Jaime, Herminia, Armandina, Ramiro, Juan and Homero; 45 grandchildren, 78 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, June 18, 2021 at First Assembly of God, 500 SW 27th St., Topeka, Kansas. Graveside committal services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Jerusalen Asambleas De Dios Church, P.O. Box 750361, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
