Olga Teresa Neporadny, 81, Topeka, KS, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at her home.
She was born December 3, 1930 in Olean, New York the daughter of Gaetano and Christina Rossi Lorenzini. She lived in Weedville, PA until age 10 before the family returned to Olean. She was a 1949 graduate of Olean High School.
Olga did secretarial and switchboard work for the Vanderhorst Corporation, St. Bonaventure University, and the City of Olean. She also did volunteer work for the Department of Aging and Meals on Wheels.
She moved to Topeka in 2005, and had lived at Atria Hearthstone West Sr. Living Center for the past three years. After coming to Topeka, she was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, did volunteer work at Stormont-Vail Healthcare where she was an auxiliary member, and was a member of the Junquers Club.
She married John "Nipper" Neporadny on June 27, 1953 in Olean. He died in September, 1995. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Floyd Lorenzini, Albert Catani, and Gino Lorenzini.
Survivors include her son, Jon (Patricia) Neporadny of McKinney, TX; two daughters, Janet (Michael) Stanek of Topeka and Jean (Robert Durand) Neporadny of Chandler, AZ; sister, Gloria Bradley of Birmingham, AL; two brothers, Raymond Lorenzini of Rochester, NY and James Lorenzini of Franklin, TN; four grandsons, Jared Neporadny, Zachary Stanek, Steven Stanek, and Tyler Neporadny.
At Olga's request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Saturday at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel. Inurnment in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany, New York will be at a later date.
