Olive M. Schutz, 83, passed away January 24, 2006 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston- Salem NC after a short illness. Born August 21, 1922, in Wakarusa, the daughter of Horace A. and Dessie Irene Jordan, Olive lived her life in the Wakarusa and Berryton area until 2000. After the passing of her husband of 58 years, Earl L. Schutz, she moved to Kernersville, NC to live with her son, Roger D. Schutz. She had been living most recently at Winston-Salem Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Winston-Salem, NC. Mrs. Schutz had spent the majority of her life as an active homemaker, known by the smile on her face, and of her hands, always open to give to others. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her son Roger Dean Schutz, and his wife Pamela, Kernersville, NC; two grandchildren, Robert D. Schutz, and Elaine M. Schutz, of Kernersville; three brothers, Louis G. Jordan, Osawatomie, Harold L. Jordan, Shawnee Mission, and Harley N. Jordan, Orlando, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl L., and a son Robert L. Schutz; two brothers, John L. Jordan, and Paul V. Jordan, and a sister, Gladys Damron,
Graveside services will be held a 1:00 p.m., Saturday, at Bethel Cemetery, Tecumseh. Mrs. Schutz will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, where the family will meet with friends from 6 – 8 p.m. that evening. The casket will remain closed.
