Ollie W. Dial, 67, Topeka, passed away Monday, September 6, 2021.
He was born December 31, 1953, in San Angelo, Texas, the son of Ollie and Wendolyn (Campbell) Dial.
He was co-owner of Metzger Nursery for 42 ½ years.
Ollie was a pillar of Seventeenth Street Church of Christ, formerly Oakland Church of Christ. He served as president of the Highland Park Baseball Association and was an active member for many years. After years coaching little league, Ollie was a dedicated fan of his grandchildren's activities.
On February 13, 1976 he married Gail L. Metzger in Topeka, Kansas. She preceded him in death on June 24, 2016. He was also preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jay D. Dial, and brother-in-law, Mason Chris Metzger.
Survivors include four sons: Bruce William Dial, Ollie Brandon Dial, Travis Max Dial (Chava), Timothy Gale Dial (Rachel); sister, Dena (Keith) Moore; ten grandchildren: Baylee, Easton, Jagger, Colton, Mackenzie, Camden, Cooper, Gauge, Cameryn and Carsyn Dial; his in-laws, Doris and Max Metzger; two brothers-in-law, Randy (Sharri) Metzger and Wes (Amy) Metzger; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be 10am Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Dove Cremations & Funerals - Southwest Chapel, 37th & Wanamaker.
A visitation will be 6-8pm Friday, September 10, 2021 at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 1321 SW 10th Ave, Topeka.
