Omer L. Johnson, of Tecumseh, KS, passed away July 10, 2007. He was born July 27, 1917.
Omer retired from Santa Fe in 1977, after 38 years of service. He was a loving family man who loved to hunt, fish, garden and bowl. He was a longtime member of the Tecumseh United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Betty Lou, two sons, Max and his wife, Linda of Bend, OR and Stan of the home, daughter, Charlotte Hastings of Lawrence, KS, six grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service for Mr. Johnson will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 13, 2007 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Memorial contributions may be given to the Helping Hands Humane Society or to that of the donor's choice.
