Opal Aileen Eberspacher, 97, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2016.
She was born February 19, 1919, in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Russell and Cleda (Black) Palmer. She was a graduate of Burlingame High School and spent most of her adult life in Topeka.
Aileen operated a day care in her home for 11 years and worked for Luce Press Clippings for 17 years. She was a member of Fairlawn Heights Wesleyan Church.
On May 2, 1948, Aileen married Carl Eberspacher. He preceded her in death on November 10, 1980.
Survivors include daughters, Carlene Eberspacher and Linda Webster, both of Topeka; and sisters, Virginia Kopp of Topeka and Mary Ellen Green of Kirkland, Washington. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Russell on May 2, 1972 and Cleda on December 7, 1987; and brother, Virgil Palmer in 1996.
Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 11, 2016, at Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Topeka, 4775 SW 21st Street, Topeka, Kansas 66604. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Care or Meals on Wheels.
