Orville Fleming

Orville Lee Fleming, 87, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2009 at a care facility in Holton. He was born on August 18, 1922, in Barkley, KS, the son of Raleigh and Lettie Tucker Fleming. He had resided in Topeka since 1944. Orville was the produce manager for Butners Grocery and later became a postal carrier for 28 years before retiring in 1986. Orville married Velma D. Craft in 1942. She survives. Other survivors include their three children, Kathie (Richard) Cox of Topeka, Scott Fleming of Los Angeles, CA, Lorie (Jake) Huyett of Holton, two grandchildren, Heather (Brian) Brookeman of CO, Jeremiah (Jessica) Huyett of Holton and two twin great-grandsons, Jacob and Jace Huyett of Holton. Orville was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. He was loved by all who knew him and is missed. Cremation has taken place and as per Orville's request, no memorial services are planned.
